Common Questions – Storing and using
Saturday, February 13th, 2010Two points to consider about storing and using your Photocake picture – remember, this is a perishable product that you are going to eat!
1) Storing & use by - When you recieve your sheet, please store it in a cool dry place in the food grade bag. We would recommend that you use it within 7 days of getting it.
2) Using - In times of high humidity you may find it difficult to remove the icing sheet from the backing. We suggest placing the printed sheet in the oven on the lowest setting for 5 – 10 mins. Never leave the sheet unattended. We will only replace broken sheets if they are damaged in transit….
Common Questions – Production Time
Saturday, February 13th, 2010We aim to turn the proof around in 2 – 3 days. Dispatch will be as soon as you approve the proof. All this will be done by email. See the points on layout and colour matching. If you have a panic on, please let us know before placing the order – midnight oil is stocked, crystal balls are not.
Common Questions – Post and delivery
Saturday, February 13th, 2010All sheets will be dispatched by first class post using a food grade bag and suitable envelope. Royal Mail will be responsible for delivery, so please ensure you place your order in plenty of time to recieve it.
We will use the “Recorded Signed For” service from Royal Mail.
We can of course work with rush jobs using couriers etc – just tell us before you place your order. We have stocks of midnight oil, but no crystal balls.
All orders made via the photocake web site – click here
Common Questions – Approving your design
Saturday, February 13th, 2010The process is very simple. Just three steps;
1) You create your design – combining photographs and text as you want.
2) You purchase the layout from our site that suites your requirements.
3) We make a proof and email it to you – you approve it. We print, ship and then charge your card.
Common Questions – My photocake design
Saturday, February 13th, 2010We have four main sizes of edible icing sheet to work with – A4, 7.5 inch round, large cupcake (3.25 inch) and medium cupcake (2.13 inch).
We can base your design around these sizes. To keep it simple, we have set standard costs for basic layouts. If you want something special, please just email us – orders@photocake-occasion.co.uk
Please email your pictures and the overall design you want – jpeg for the pictures and word, powerpoint, pdf etc for the overall design. You can use old photographs, just scan them first.
Common Questions – Colour Matching
Saturday, February 13th, 2010We are dealing with a perishable food product. Edible Ink onto Edible Icing Paper - rather clever! Also, do not forget you then have to stick it onto your cake. More of that in a moment.
We will produce you an electronic proof of what your design will look like – once you accept that, we print, ship and charge you. We will do our best to get the colours right, but some are quite difficult – gold for example.
Common Questions – Privacy – just to be sure
Saturday, February 13th, 2010Whilst the small print set outs all the details, please be assured on a couple of points that makes Photocake Occasion a delight to do business with:
1) Privacy – Once we have printed and dispatched your sheet, we will delete all copies of the photographs and pictures that you have sent us. We do not want to fill our hard disks up! If you do think you will want a repeat order, please let us know and only then will we keep hold of the information.
2) Publicity – We of course want to show our work off – but we will ask first before putting any of your pictures on the web site. No from you, means NO.
And, one more thing. Whilst we can print absolutely any picture, logo, or words, the house rule is if we would not show it to Granny, we will not print it. Nothing illegal, defamatory, abusive or offensive please.
